Truck Art Project

PHotoESPAÑA, Spain

Truck Art Project is an initiative that transforms transport trucks into mobile canvases for contemporary art. By integrating visual artworks into the daily movement of freight across Spain, the project brings art into the public sphere in unexpected and dynamic ways.

Bubi Canal presented two photographic works: “The Land”, a still life featuring sculptures set within the landscape of Cantabria, and “Mask in the Sky”, an image capturing a handmade mask suspended midair against a luminous sky. Both pieces are part of the Horizon series, which explores themes of identity, landscape, and mythology, drawing from the artist’s personal connection to Cantabria and New York. Displayed on the panels of a moving truck, the works engage with ideas of mobility and visibility, transforming everyday routes into poetic journeys through art.

El Ensanche, Bilbao, Spain

"Arte Peatonal" is a project in Bilbao that transforms local businesses into temporary art galleries, allowing citizens to experience art in public space. Throughout the month of October, 22 establishments in the Ensanche district will showcase sculptures and vinyl artworks created by 17 local, national, and international artists. The aim is to bring art closer to the community and energize commercial activity through artistic experiences.

The project, promoted by the Bilbao City Council, seeks to create a cultural symbiosis between art and local commerce. Shops become temporary museums, offering visitors the chance to enjoy artworks as they stroll through the city.
